JACKSONVILLE, Florida — Jason Fitzgerald and the Mixson Motorsports Team will stay in the state of Georgia for the next couple of weeks competing in several O'Reilly Southern All Stars sanctioned events. Jason will compete this Saturday at Lavoa Speedway in Lavonia Georgia for a 50-lap $5,000 to win feature event. Jason finished 8th at Lavoina Speedway back in March at an earlier O'Reilly Southern All Stars sanctioned event. After competing at Lavonia Speedway this weekend, Jason will travel to Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia next weekend for a pair of events. Friday Jason will compete with the Southern All Stars East sanction in a $3,000 to win feature event. Then on Saturday Jason will compete at the same track in an O'Reilly Southern All Stars sanctioned event in a 50-lpa $5,000 to win feature. Jason is currently in second place in the series points standings and leads the series "Rookie of The Year" category. This past weekend Jason and the team traveled to Swainsboro Georgia and competed in an O'Reilly Southern All Stars sanctioned event on Friday. The 50-lap $5,000 to win event drew31 drivers from 6 states. Jason after using a series provisional starting spot was able to advance into the top ten and salvaged a 6th place finish on a really rough track. Jason then traveled to Golden Isles Speedway on Saturday and competed in a $3,000 to win United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series sanctioned event. Jason would get another top ten finish finishing 6th in his Tire Kingdom sponsored Mastersbilt chassis.
