FRANKLINTON, Louisiana — The Ragin’ Rebel” David Breazeale lived up to his nickname on Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway as he blasted his way around the cushion of the ¼ mile, gumbo oval to the $5,000 win.

After a few weeks away from the track to freshen their equipment, Voodoo Motorsports and team drivers, Scott Creel and David Breazeale, returned to action in the 14th Annual Ival Cooper Memorial at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Mississippi. David Breazeale qualified 3rd out of 25 entries in his #54 Mastersbilt/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model, which earned him the 3rd starting position for the 50 lap feature. At the drop of the green flag Breazeale shot into the second position and began pressuring Scott Slay for the top spot. Lap five would see Breazeale blast past Slay for the top spot. David went on to lead the next 45 laps on the heavy, gumbo oval en route to the win and the $5,000 payday. The win marked Breazeale's third triumph of the 2008 season.

Scott Creel was also in action, and turned in a solid qualifying lap to earn the 11th starting position for the 50 lap feature. Creel would drive a smart race and earned a 9th place finish.

Voodoo Motorsports will look to carry their momentum into this Saturday’s event at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama. The 50 lap, $2,500 to win/$300 to start event is sanctioned by the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS). David Breazeale is currently third in the latest MSCCS points and Scott Creel holds down the seventh position in points. In addition, Creel is the current MSCCS Rookie of the Year point’s leader with only a few events remaining in the 2008 season.

Also, please visit the Voodoo Motorsports hauler for brand new shirts that are now available for both David Breazeale and Scott Creel.
