POST FALLS, Idaho — With only two races remaining in the series, Scott Rupert, KC Garber, and Yvonne Lifsey battled to victory lane during Wednesday Night Fever at Stateline Speedway. Scott Rupert widened his point lead in the Road Runner division besting new track record setter Chuck Davidson to win the 20-lap main event for the division to increase his lead. Rupert, winner of a point awarding heat, ducked to the inside dash and heat winner Treven Tarr on the restart midway in the race and checked out. Davidson, who broke his own track record by a tenth of a second, tried to close in during final laps but was unable to catch Rupert. Steve Mathers finished second followed by Steve Schovaers. The win is Rupert’s fourth of the season and increases his point lead to 21-points over Tim Benn in second. Rick Manzer won the B main event.
