ALLGAIER ENDS ARCA SEASON IN CHAMPIONSHIP FASHION

BROWNSBURG, Indiana — The past month for Ringers’ racer Justin Allgaier has been what seems like a dream come true! In mid-September, he was named the newest development driver for established NASCAR team Penske Racing. Over the weekend at the season finale and what was his final full-time career start in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, the cards fell in his favor.

Allgaier headed into the Hantz Group 200 at Toledo Speedway sitting in the third position in championship points. The racing public figured the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series crown would go to one of two drivers, Scott Speed or Ricky Stenhouse Jr. But after a couple on-track incidents between the two championship contenders that left the door wide open for Allgaier not only to win the race, but take home the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship…and that’s just what he did.

Just two days before, Allgaier made his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut in the No. 12 Penske Truck Rental Dodge in the Dollar General 300 at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. Then on Sunday afternoon, he scored his sixth win of the season and collected his championship hardware. Allgaier became the second Illinois-native to win an ARCA championship. He finished 50 points ahead of nine-time ARCA champion Frank Kimmel.

On the way to his first championship, Allgaier scored his other five wins at the following tracks; Salem Speedway (Ind.), Cayuga Motor Speedway (Canada), Pocono Raceway (Pa.), New Jersey Motorsports Park (N.J.) and Talladega Superspeedway (Ala.).

Ringers Gloves is pleased to honor Allgaier, along with his family and entire race team on their stellar season! We couldn’t be prouder to support Justin throughout his young racing career and we look forward to working with him at his future endeavors at Penske Racing.

Be sure to catch Justin in his next Nationwide Series race at the Texas Motor Speedway on November 1.
