Evergreen Speedway’s awards banquet is quickly approaching and the excitement level has never been higher. Set for Saturday November 1st at the brand new Tulalip Casino and Resort, it is sure to be the best attended banquet in speedway history. The six racing divisions being honored: Speedway Chevrolet Super Stocks, Les Schwab Tires Bombers, Pawn X-Change Super Figure Eights, Mini Stocks, Stinger Eights and Hornets, are all part of the NASCAR Whelen All American Series at the speedway.

All attending drivers will be given their respective awards and stand on stage in the grand ball room for their photo opportunity. Super Stocks, Bombers and Super Figure Eights will being drawing cash envelopes! In addition the “Special Awards” segment is always highly anticipated as drivers and teams discover who was voted “Best Appearing” and “Most Inspirational” by their peers. “Rookie of the Year” honors are given out as well as “Sportsman of the Year”, “Most Improved” and the much coveted “Entertainer of the Year”. There are other special awards including the “Hall of Fame” that will be given out on banquet night rounding out a celebration of the 2008 racing season.

This year the banquet has been opened to Hornet drivers and Youth Hornet drivers as well as fans! Any driver attending will receive an award. Fans may also purchase tickets and watch their favorites receiving the accolades so deserving after a long and tough racing season. Cocktail hour is set for 5-7pm. Raffle prizes will be given out during this time. Be sure to attend early and enjoy the fun. You never know what kind of reward lurks in the raffle prize box! Our great sponsor Wired X-Energy drinks has donated not only raffle prizes but product for the bars. Valet parking is set up and rooms are going fast so do not delay. The deadline, this Friday October 24th, for purchasing tickets is fast approaching. Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! If you miss it you will be sorry.
