The final bid for the website auction to raise support for the SW Tour chaplain came in at $100. What is unusual is how the bidder went above and beyond. Crew members that prefer to remain anonymous are donating the site to the chaplain support effort. Additionally they know that there is a lot of hard work put into maintaining a site and will be contributing $50 per month. Keep in mind Duane Drummond will be doing the work and his work and their money is all to be funneled into the efforts of supporting the SW Tour chaplain.
If you find a spot in your heart to help, please do. No donation is too small. We have had a dollar sent for the NW Tour chaplain. He and his wife are framing that dollar to remember that it is people like you that allow them to continue their ministry.
It does not matter if you go to chapel, (OK you should), but it does matter to have someone at the track to turn to, whether you are going through a divorce, dealing with a family crisis, suffering a life threatening illness, or yes a bad injury or fatality. We need our chaplains. So a big thank you to the crewmembers.
Those wanting to continue to support the chaplains may do so through the auctions or direct donations. Fortunately, the new website that these caring crewmembers bought will help!![]()
