BOISE, Idaho — The Northwest Pro4 Alliance is excited to name Chris Cunningham as the series race director for 2009.
Chris has a vast amount of racing experience in the Northwest and was the NASCAR Northwest Tour rookie of the year in 1994, and continued with the series through 2000. The 2005 season saw Chris at the wheel of the #04 Ford Taurus where he rolled-up three feature wins in FSCRA competition for his car owner, Terry Kaas.
Alliance Marketing Director Bob Coply states, “Having Chris as race director will, indeed, take this series up to the next level.” Coply goes on to say, “The Alliance needs someone to take control of the program on race day, and we have confidence that Chris will step up and do a superb job for our race teams.”
Chris will work closely with Alliance flagman, Troy Blanton, during the time that the drivers are racing to make the event run smoothly.
Other staff appointments will be announced as agreements are finalized.
Let’s all welcome Chris onboard, and start thinking about how professional our series will look in 2009 and what each and everyone of us can do to make it the best looking, best running, and most exciting series in the Northwest.
Keep in mind that our season opener at the Wenatchee Valley Super Oval is with the new ASA Northwest Late Model Tour. I am very proud of each and every one of our teams, and I’m sure we will look just as good, in every way, as the “Tour” — so clean up the cars and get excited as 2009 is just around the corner!
