MIRA LOMA, Calfiornia — Scott Dodd in his #25 Nascar Whelen Super Late Model was on the move at the Toyota All-Star Showdown, when cautions and a shortened race cut his progress to the front. Dodd who started in the 19th position, which was assigned per rules as qualifying was canceled due to rainy conditions, ended the short race 12th.

Dodd and his team had worked for months for this televised race and were anxious to perform for his new sponsor Craig Fire Protection. Hoping for a good finish to jump start the 2009 season Dodd wasn’t able to get that finish, but feels that he is ready for the season opener on March 22 at Toyota Speedway of Irwindale.

Toyota Speedway did everything they could to try and get the race in, but Mother Nature wasn’t on their side. The Speedway is a great facility and the Dodd race team can hardly wait for the season to start.

Dodd’s sponsor includes Craig Fire Protection, Lucas Oil, K & N Filters, Air Gas Supply, RBR Differential Service, Jet Cutting Solutions and Bob Dogger Horseshoeing.
