KALISPELL, Montana — Paul Bartholomew, a longtime broadcaster with Motor Racing Network (MRN), SPEED Channel and the voice of Sprint Vision at all NASCAR Sprint Cup events will be part of a two-man team to announce the 19th Annual Coors Light Montana 200 to be held at Montana Raceway Park.
Bartholomew will join Doug Pace for play-by-play and other activities during the Montana 200 weekend set for July 16-18, 2009 in Kalispell.
This year’s race will be broadcast across the Flathead Valley and over the Internet with Bartholomew and Pace anchoring several hours of coverage.
Bartholomew will be taking part in his first Montana 200 after traveling many years with the NASCAR Northwest Series which included stops at Raceway Park. The native of Milwaukie, Ore. got his start in announcing at the famed Portland Speedway. In January Bartholomew again led SPEED’s coverage of the Geoff Bodine Bobsled Challenge.
Pace has served as the play-by-play announcer for the Montana 200 and was the voice of the ARCA West Late Model Challenge Series. In addition to his announcing background Pace also serves as the Motorsports columnist for Spokane’s Spokesman Review newspaper.
The Coors Light Montana 200 kicks off with practice on Thursday, July 16 followed by a fan appreciation event that evening. Qualifying and positioning races follow on Friday with the 200-lap finale set for Saturday, July 18.
