The young 19 year old dirt late model driver from Portland, OR Joey Tanner will team up in 2009 with Yakima native driver BJ Tidrick to run for rookie of the year in the ASA Northwest Tour. Tanner, who just competed in only his third asphalt race in his career last month in Irwindale, Ca where he had a strong finish is ready to make a distinctive move to the asphalt. Tanner has ran locally and nationally since the age of 15 in the high powered dirt late models, and father Jody Tanner says its time to turn him loose in the tour! Look for bright things from this young Portland, Or driver as he makes the move to asphalt to compete with the best local drivers in the Pacific Northwest in the ASA Northwest Tour in 2009!
