A New Year in racing begins in 2009 for 15 year old Sophomore Student Branden Underwood from Henderson Nevada. This year will bring in a new challenge for the successful kart racer to Speed Trucks. The ASA Speed Truck Challenge is a 14 race series that travels to California, Arizona and Nevada and racers competes from ages 14 and up. Branden will be supported by his major Sponsors Terrible Herbst, Prestige Plumbing, Star Nursery, Hogan Chiropractic, Mirage Racing Products, Butch’s Speed Shop and Patricks Signs.
With a Career in Karting, with over 101 top five finishes, 21 First Place Career Wins, and 36 Top Tens prepared him for the next level of racing. Branden will be driving his #28 Dodge Dakota and his Crew Chief Dana Stahl with his 40 years of racing experience will be helping him this year in the series. The first ASA Speed Truck Challenge race is this weekend at the Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway in Blythe California. As Underwood stated “This is a new challenge for me and there will be a lot of great competition to go against, I am really looking forward to this year in racing!”
