PCM MOTORSPORTS TRAVELS BACK TO HAVASU 95 SPEEDWAY WITH TWO CARS
Miles Copenhaver and team

EL CAJON, California — Get ready race fans, Ron Esau (Inaugural NASCAR Southwest Tour Champion) will be driving the PCM motorsports number 88 Ford late model race car on April 11th at the Havasu 95 Speedway. This idea came about during a meeting with the newly formed alliance (Rapid Ron Racing, Inc. and PCM Motorsports) before testing on March 7th, 2009 at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, CA. Ron Esau and Paul Copenhaver agreed that the size of the field at the Havasu 95 Speedway could use some help with more cars making the event. By adding another car to the field, young drivers like Miles Copenhaver, who won his first main event in a late model race car at Havasu 95 Speedway, can gain more racing experience. This is a perfect opportunity to bring in a veteran driver like Ron Esau. For the fans and the other competitors, it’s a win/ win situation.

"This should be a real door to door fight for the win event."

PCM also decided to help sponsor the event by making the normal 30 lap race into a 50 lap event and adding some more prize money to the purse. Ron says he plans on giving Miles a behind the wheel training session but Miles Copenhaver plans differently. Miles knows that the regular Havasu 95 Speedway drivers are going to help him give Ron some lessons on racing etiquette at their home track. This should be a real door to door fight for the win event.

The test session at Irwindale’s Toyota Speedway was really good for both Mile’s and Ron’s super late race cars. Ron Esau with Ed Bernardo of BCRI, and Crew Chief Kevin Clark are going over every nut and bolt on the number 56 super late model race car for the March 21st opening race of the season. And PCM is preparing the two Late Model cars for the PCM Motorsports 50 lap race at Lake Havasu City, AZ. Go to www.havasu95speedway .com for details on a full field two day event next Saturday and Sunday. Also, mark your calendar for March 21st opener at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, where Miles and Ron will run a 100 lapper in the super late model event.
