
The ASCA Sprint Cars will headline the racing action this Saturday March 14th at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, AZ. Josh Pelkey took home the winner's check the last time the sprints were at Canyon but the competition will pick up Saturday night as several teams are expected to challenge Pelkey for the top spot and the $1000 winner's share of the purse. Look for Shon Deskins, RJ Johnson, Mike Colegrove, Nathan High, Ryan Linder and a host of other top sprint car drivers to make an appearance at Canyon Saturday night.
The IMCA Modifieds are also in action with veteran Marlyn Seidler from North Dakota looking to make it two in a row as he took home the top honors in the last IMCA Modified race. IMCA Rookie of the year candidate Tim Ward fresh off a runner up run in Mohave Valley last weekend will be looking for his first main event win while winter series main event winner Guy Norton looks to keep his 2009 regular season on track with another top finish.
The always exciting Pure Stocks, the AMMA Winged Modified Midgets and the Southwest Modlites round out the action with race time set for 7:30pm. Spectator gates open at 5pm. Admission is just $15 for adults, $13 for Seniors and Military with Children 12 and under always free.
Canyon Speedway Park will continue with its audio webcasting of their events accessed by a link on the tracks website. The webcast begins at 7:15pm with a quick preview of the nights racing activities and then you can listen to all the action from the announcers booth during the event.
