ACDelco Super Late Models Twin Race # 1
Scott Dodd of Mira Loma won the first 25 lap race of the NASCAR Super Late Models twin feature races Saturday night (April 4) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Dodd took the lead on lap three and held off repeated attempts by Nick Joanides for the lead throughout the race. Dodd beat Joanides to the finish line by 0.120 seconds for his first Super Late Model victory since 2007. Travis Thirkettle of Newhall finished in third place.
Bandoleros
Ryan Canssale won the 20 lap Bandoleros feature race and Blake Dunkleberger finished first in the Young Guns division Saturday night April 4 at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale.
Legends Cars
Chad Schug of Oak Hills took the lead on the final lap from Donny St. Ours of Upland to win the Legends Cars 35 lap feature race Saturday night April 4 at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Schug started the race in the 11th spot moving his way through the field enroute to his fourth career Legends race. St. Ours finished in second place 0.096 seconds behind Schug. Brandon Toy of Bakersfield finished in third place. The race was without team owner and driver Bob Landreth who passed away two weeks ago. The drivers which included son Tom Landreth paid tribute to the Landreth during a special parade lap before the start of the race and during comments made during the post race interviews.
South West Tour Trucks
Dalton Kuhn of San Marcos took over the lead from Jeff Williams of Newberry Park who encountered mechanical problems on lap six and went on to win the South West Tour Trucks 35 lap feature race season opener Saturday night April 4 at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Neil Conrad of Arcadia finished second and Jim Satterfield of Mira Loma finished in third place.
King Taco Super Trucks
Mason Britton of Sacramento and Rod Johnson Jr. of Canyon Country waged a side by side battle for the lead for 30 laps with Britton hanging on to win the King Taco Super Trucks 40 lap feature race Saturday night April 4.at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Britton beat Johnson to the finish line by 0.222 seconds. Defending champion Pat Mintey Jr. of Quartz Hill finished in third place.
ACDelco Super Late Models Twin Race #2
Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills started from the front row and led the entire race winning the 25 lap feature NASCAR ACDelco Super Late Model twin race finale at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Joanides victory was his second of the season. Rip Michels of San Fernando finished in second place 1.383 seconds behind Joanides and 16 year old rookie driver Bear Rzesnowiecky of Las Vegas finished in third place.
