CORINTH, Mississippi — Anthony Burroughs and BHL Motorsports will be extremely busy this coming weekend as they plan to enter both NeSmith Late Model Series events and both Super Late Model events in Columbus, Mississippi.
BHL Motorsports competed last weekend in the 8th Annual Brown Engineering Rebel Challenge at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. On Friday night a phenomenal field signed in for the $3,000 to win event, 40 lap event, and Anthony would set quick time in his group and third quick time overall, which earned him the 3rd starting spot for the feature event. He would fall to the 4th position at the drop of the green flag in the feature and would ultimately finish in the 4th spot on a track, where passing was difficult.
On Saturday, April 11th, the second night of the 8th Annual Brown Engineering Rebel Challenge was held with a $10,000 prize on the line. With 45 Super Late Models on hand Anthony would draw, an extremely talented group and would qualify 7th fastest in his group, which resulted in him starting 5th in his qualifier. He would advance to a 4th place finish, which earned him the final transfer to the main event. In the feature, Burroughs would start 21st. He would retire early in the feature with mechanical difficulties and would be credited with a 23rd place finish.
For the third weekend in a row, BHL Motorsports will invade Columbus, Mississippi with their #121 Mississippi One Call System/Mastersbilt By Stuckey/Wall-2-Wall Racing Engine Super Late Model. Anthony will be in action on Friday, April 17th at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi in a Weekly Racing Series Event and on Saturday, April 18th at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi in another Weekly Racing Series Event.
In addition, Anthony will be piloting the #33 Crate Late Model, owned by Mike and Justin Carter, on Friday night at Columbus Speedway ($2,000 to win) and Saturday night ($2,500 to win) at Magnolia Motor Speedway with the NeSmith Late Model Series action.
