ANTELOPE, California — Fans will be welcoming their hometown favorite back to Phoenix International Raceway as the NASCAR Camping World Series West comes to PIR for the Jimmie Johnson Foundation “150”. Tempe resident Moses Smith returns home piloting the No. 16 Hasa Pool Product/White Flyer Toyota Camry for Bill McAnally Racing.
"It is my home track and I get a ton of local support. I only get to race for my home town once a year, so it is kind of a big deal."— Moses Smith
Smith, who is fifth in the chase for the series championship and only 8 points out of the top three, has a second and an eighth place finish in 2009. He will be looking to put the No. 16 Hasa Toyota Camry across the finish line first. He gained three positions in the points after his last visit to PIR and looks to repeat. Smith and his crew chief Mario Isola know it will be tough but they are up for the challenge.
The Jimmie Johnson Foundation “150” will run on Thursday, April 16th at Phoenix International Raceway. The race will be televised April 23rd on SPEED Channel.

Quotes from Smith: “I am really looking forward to PIR. It’s one of my favorite tracks and races of the year.”
“It is my home track and I get a ton of local support. I only get to race for my home town once a year, so it is kind of a big deal. The Hasa Pool products team is ready; the whole BMR crew has been working hard back at the shop to make sure The No. 16 Hasa Pool Products Toyota Camry is ready.”
“Next week will be a busy one. I have four prerace appearances for HASA in the Phoenix area before the event, so my week will start Tuesday morning at one of the local stores. Phoenix is a great market for HASA Pool Products. Also Phoenix is home to Blimpie, a new addition to the sponsorship team, so they will be getting their first real “taste” of NASCAR.”
