BAKERSFIELD, California — With the support of Ringer’s Gloves, the winner of the SRL Southwest Tour Series “Blackjack 121” will take home $4,000. The May 3rd SRL event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway">The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will pay “The Ringer’s Bonus” of $1,000 to the winner of the 121 lap event, bringing the winner’s share of the “Blackjack 121” prize money to $4,000.

The May 2nd and 3rd weekend at The Bullring will feature two days of competition including the SRL Southwest Tour Series, Baby Grand National Cars, Super Late Models, Chargers, Bombers, Legends Cars, Bandoleros and Thunder Roadsters. Racing on Saturday begins at 7:30pm with the Whelen All American Series. Sunday, May 3rd racing begins at 12 noon with the SRL Southwest Tour Series headlining the weekend with a scheduled 2:30pm start of the “Blackjack 121”.
Entering the May 3rd event, 2007 SRL champ Dave Byrd leads the 2009 championship standings with 53 points, followed by Roseville winner M.K. Kanke at 52, defending series champ Jim Pettit II is third with 46, followed by Greg Voigt at 44 and Todd Bammer with 42 to round out the top five.
