MARION, Arkansas — Jan Howard competed with the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars on Friday night at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas, and he turned in a strong performance.
Howard Motorsports made the last minute decision to compete with the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Friday night. With 38 Sprint Cars on hand, Jan would qualify in the 24th position, which earned him the 6th starting position for the fourth heat race. In heat #4, he would race his way to a 6th place finish, and with only the top four cars transferring to the feature, Jan was relegated to the b-main. He would start fourth in the b-main, and finish in the 3rd spot, which earned him the 3rd starting position in the coveted $10,000 to win main event. By the time that the checkered flag fell on the event, he was credited with a solid 19th place finish against the nation's best drivers.
Jan will be back in action at Riverside International Speedway this Saturday, May 2nd as he pulls double duty in his #46 Brim’s Snack Foods/Howard Motorsports Maxim/Howard Racing Engine 305 Wingless Sprinter and his #4x Lofton Motorsports/Maxim/Howard Racing Engine 360 Winged Sprinter.
