RINGERS GLOVES RACING

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Last week the annual FDIC Show, international firefighter training and exhibition conference, visited Indianapolis. This is always an awesome show for Ringers Gloves. We were the first to introduce an extrication glove to the industry and everyone is always so excited to stop by our booth to say hello and see what new we have in store for the year.

The IndyCar and Firestone Indy Lights Series visited the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., for their respective races on Sunday. All Ringers' supporting teams of Andretti Green Racing collected top-10 finishes on the IndyCar side, while one of the AFS/AGR Indy Lights entries visited victory lane.

The No. 27 AFS/AGR team started on the front row of the Kansas Lottery 100 in the second position, but at the end of the 67-lap race the No. 27 was the one holding the trophy. Unfortunately the No. 26 AFS/AGR team car didn't have as good of luck during the race and hit some debris during the race, forcing the car to pit road out of sequence, resulting in a 14th-place finish.

Consistency has been the word for the No. 11 Team 7-Eleven entry since the beginning of the year and Sunday's finish was no different. The No. 11 Dallara captured the second podium finish in the last two races and the third top-five finish of the season. The consistent finishes have pushed the Team 7-Eleven car into the top position in the IndyCar Series points heading into the Month of May and the Indianapolis 500.

The No. 26 Team Venom Energy and the No. 27 Formula Dream teams finished sixth and seventh, respectively, in the Road Runner Turbo Indy 300 on Sunday.

The next races for the Andretti Green Racing teams will be their races at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway during Memorial Day weekend in May.

Ringers' supporting racers and teams didn't fair too well at the Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday and Sunday. Out of the five supporting drivers and/or teams, only one finished their respective race.

Penske Racing's Sprint Cup driver Kurt Busch and his No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge was the lone Ringers' supporting team to finish his respective race. Busch came across the chaotic last lap Aaron's 499 race in the sixth position on Sunday. His teammates David Stremme and Sam Hornish Jr. were involved in the same accident on lap 179, finishing 31st and 34th.

Busch's finish catapulted him into the Sprint Cup points lead heading into Richmond this weekend.

On Saturday, Penske Racing's rookie Justin Allgaier was involved in an accident in the Aaron's 312, relegating him to a 32nd-place finish. Ringers' supporter Brendan Gaughan's hot rod overheated ending his day early, finishing 38th.

In World of Outlaws sprint cars, Ringers' supporter Tim Kaeding took home the win at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark.

That's the minute for this week! On Wednesday morning, I head to my hometown of Bethalto, Ill., to spend a weekend with the folks and head to the NHRA Midwest Nationals at Gateway International Raceway this weekend.
