The “Blackjack 121” at Las Vegas Motor Speedway">The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is the second event of the 2009 SRL Southwest Tour Series championship season. The event will mark the second time the SRL has competed at “The Bullring”, and drivers will be competing for the largest winner’s pay-out in SRL Southwest Tour Series history at $4,000.
The race will be followed by www.racingwest.com, a delayed web cast of the entire race by www.golivestream.tv and an edited highlight show on www.rpmtvonline.com.
The May 2nd and 3rd weekend at “The Bullring” will feature two days of competition, including the SRL Southwest Tour Series, Baby Grand National Cars, Super Late Models, Chargers, Bombers, Legends Cars, Bandoleros and Thunder Roadsters. SRL practice on Saturday from 10:30am to 2:30pm. Racing on Saturday begins at 7:30pm with the Whelen All American Series. Sunday, May 3rd racing begins at 1pm with the SRL Southwest Tour Series headlining the weekend with a scheduled mid-afternoon start of the “Blackjack 121”.
Entering the May 3rd event, Dave Byrd leads the 2009 SRL Southwest Tour Series championship standings with 53 points, followed by Roseville winner M.K. Kanke at 52, defending series champ Jim Pettit II is third with 46, followed by Greg Voigt at 44 and Todd Bammer with 42, Keith Spangler 40, Craig Raudman 40, Joe Farre’ 38, Greg Potts 34, and Jason Gilbert 32, to round out the top ten.
