SATURDAY’S USG FAMILY NIGHT AT TOYOTA SPEEDWAY AT IRWINDALE INCLUDES FREE ADMISSION FOR YOUNGSTERS 15 YEARS AND UNDER, SUPER LATE MODEL TWIN RACES A

IRWINDALE, California — Youngster 15 years of age and under will be admitted for free during this Saturday’s USG Family Night at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale which features a six race NASCAR Whelen All-American schedule. Students 16-18 years of age will be admitted for $7.50. Fans attending the event will be able to watch FOX Sports live broadcast of the NASCAR Sprint Cup race from Richmond, Virginia on large flat screen televisions situated in locations adjacent to the Speedway’s main grandstand.

Highlighting the evening’s racing schedule are ACDelco Super Late Model twin 25-lap feature races, a 40-lap King Taco Super Trucks race, 35-lap Legends Cars race, 20-lap Bandoleros race and a Pick Your Part 20-lap race.

Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills leads the ACDelco Super Late Model division standings with 198 points including three wins in his first four races. Rip Michels of San Fernando is in second place with 172 points and Dan Moore of Burbank is in third place with 164 points.

Pat Mintey Jr of Quartz Hill has two wins in his first three races and 146 points which is good enough to lead the King Taco Super Trucks division standings. Mason Britton of Sacramento is in second place with 140 points while Ron Peterson of Riverside is in third place with 124 points.

Chad Schug is victorious in both Legends Cars feature races propelling the Oak Hills resident to the top of the division standings. Brandon Toy of Bakersfield trails Schug by 10 points with 90 points while Ken Maier Jr. of Acton is in third place with 88 points.

Rookie Ryan Cansdale sits on top of the Bandoleros standings with 96 points including runner-up finishes in his first two starts.

Defending champion Steve Stewart of Long Beach has second place finishes in his first three outings good enough to lead the Pick Your Part Outlaw Figure 8 standings with 144 points. Billy Ziemann of Bloomington won his first race of the season on April 18 and trails Stewart by only two points in the standings.

Spectator gates open at 4 p.m. enabling fans to view the beginning of the broadcast of the Richmond race. The King Taco fan appreciation autograph session is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. with drivers, crews and race cars on the oval track. The first race begins at 7 p.m.

The Speedway features musical entertainment every other Saturday night before the races. This Saturday the band Casualtease will perform from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in the Toyota vehicle display area near the main spectator entrance.
