Sacramento , California- Josh Combs the 2008 SRL Southwest Tour Series Rookie of the Year is expecting a change of luck in Vegas after engine problems sidelined the 19-year-old racer in the season opener in Roseville.
Combs was the fastest driver in multiple practice sessions, and was running second in the feature event on just seven cylinders before finally losing all power on the engine.
Combs hopes a new look and a new attitude will help change the terrible luck the #7 MUD-Racing.net Ford Fusion experienced in its last outing. The new flat black paint scheme provided by Maaco of Ranch Cordova, California will debut at the one-third mile Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this Sunday May 3rd.
With the expertise and help of Joiner Motorsports, Combs expects to be ready to improve on his seventh place finish in Las Vegas last season, and perhaps score his first career SRL victory.
The #7 MUD-Racing.net Ford Fusion is supported by Tainted Threadz, The Country Bear, California Upholstering Co., Bell, Joiner Motorsports, and Maaco of Ranch Cordova, California.
