ANAHEIM, Ca. (March 10, 2001) – Following his 3rd place finish at Tucson Raceway Park this past weekend, Brandon Ash, driver of the 23 Springfield/Western Family Ford and Hilton Racing, are 12th in Winston West points. Ash’s jump from qualifying 15th to finishing 3rd coupled with a first time supporter has Ash and the team on a natural high.

“Although we weren’t extremely content with qualifying, I knew that we had the momentum to place the Springfield/Western Family Ford in the top five as soon as we went green,” said driver Brandon Ash. Ash proved to be on a mission at the drop of the green flag - positioning the Springfield/Western Family Ford in the top five by lap 50. Patience and perseverance paid off at the half way mark in the race, gaining two positions and a probable shot at bringing home a victory.

“I am really looking forward to the FOODSCO 200 next Sunday in Bakersfield,” said Ash. “Our team is strong, emotions are high, and we are excited to be back at a competitive level. Following the FOODSCO 200 at Mesa Marin, we have four-weeks of downtime of which we plan on utilizing to test extensively – we’d like to get in as much track time as possible to prepare for Fontana.”
