SANTA MARIA, California — Saturday night marks the first Santa Maria Speedway visit of the season for the Western Allstars Super Dirt Late Models. Papich Construction IMCA Modifieds and Mini Stocks are also on the schedule. In addition, it's "Relay for Life" and "Ladies Night" at the Speedway.

*Jeff Decker, of Morgan Hill, leads the Allstars championship point standings over Bobby Hogge IV, of Bakersfield, by a single point after four events thus far in 2009. Chris Shannon, of Merced, trails the leader by 18 markers, John Lowrey, of Bakersfield, is 33 points behind, and Mike Johnson, of Lompoc, is another 3 points back.

*After one round of action in the IMCA Modified title chase Brad Pounds, of Bakersfield, has the advantage. Since IMCA awards points only in the feature and semi's, and since there is only one point difference between each position, the standings for the top-five are as follows: Pounds 40, Lompoc's Mike Johnson 39, Arroyo Grande's Tony Toste 38, Bakersfield's Mike Johnson 37, and Santa Maria's Daylan Coffey 36.

*Mini Stocks are running their second points race of the season with Darrin Davis leading fellow Atascadero driver Tom Grzincic by 4 points. It's another 2 points back to third place Frank Nyback, of Santa Maria, and two points farther back to the two-way tie for fourth place between Nipomo's Jeremy Heroux and Santa Maria's Rob Gilbertson.

*Satuday night is also "Relay for Life" and "97.1FM and Hyundai of Santa Maria Ladies Night" at the Speedway with some surprises in store for the ladies in the audience.

* As an added attraction to the Western Allstars Super Dirt Late Model event Saturday night at Santa Maria Speedway, NHRA Funny Car driver and point leader Ron Capps will be a guest driver in one of the Late Models.

* Spectator gates for the event will open at 3:00 p.m., with qualifying at 5:00 p.m. and racing at 6:00 p.m. Spectator prices will be: $16.00 for adults, $14.00 for seniors & military, $5.00 for children 6 to 12, five and under free. The Speedway is located 1/4-mile north of the 101/166 interchange on Hutton Road.
