On May 9, 2009, Sun Valley Speedway, Vernon, BC hosted the inaugural race of the ARCA West OK Tire Sportsman Series. Good weather greeted 27 competitors from all regions of the province to run the ARCA West Lordco 100. Veteran driver #27 Mark Berriau started the evening by setting fast time and capped the night off with this historic big win. Second and third place finishers are #41 Dave Willison and #06 Tim Christi respectively.
