Scribner Motorsports and the #51 Late Model driver, Chris Scribner, will return to racing action this weekend, May 16th, at All-American Speedway in Roseville, Ca. for Round 5 of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. The previous race on May 2nd was rained out allowing a much needed break for the team.
Scribner, new on the circuit this year in his rookie season stated, "We have been behind from day one after getting a late start late in the offseason, acquiring our car and equipment just one month before the season began. Many parts were borrowed from fellow competitors to get our season started. The rain-out provided an extra week which gave us time to catch our program up to a competitive level". Chris finished in sixth position his previous race for his best finish thus far. This weekend Chris is looking for his first top five finish.
Scribner brings an impressive resume from the Karting ranks in which he was ranked third in the Nation in 2008 and also represented Kart Team USA in an International Event held in the Alcaniez region of southern Spain last November. Chris is making the jump to the NASCAR Late Model ranks with the help of father, Rick Scribner, (Team Manager) who also raced in the NASCAR ranks on the West Coast. The Scribner Motorsports team is on a quick learning curve as they set the bar high in route to their first top five.
