PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY HOSTS TRAXXAS TORC THE OFF ROAD CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY AMSOIL!

PERRIS, California — The biggest Off Road racing event ever to hit the dirt at Perris Auto Speedway is just two weeks away. On May 29th and 30th, round number two of the initial Traxxas TORC The Off Road Championship Presented by Amsoil will take on the tricky terrain of The PAS.

The brand new series will make its debut this Saturday and Sunday, May 16th and 17th, in Ft. Worth, Texas at the famous Texas World Speedway. Fans can get a preview of the wild action they will see at The PAS by watching the Texas event on ESPN2 on May 24th.

“We are very happy to be a part of the Traxxas TORC Series,” Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian said on Thursday. “This is going to be big. All of the top stars and teams will be coming to The PAS for the first time. The same drivers and race vehicles fans have watched in person and on television the past few years with the former CORR Series will be coming to The PAS. Big names like Jeremy McGrath, Rob MacCachren, Rick Johnson, Jerry Welchel, Curt, Kyle & Todd Leduc, Steve Barlow and Adrian Cenni will all be here.”

The race, which is sanctioned by the United States Auto Club (USAC), will be televised on ABC from 5:00 to 6:00 PM on June 7th. It will also be replayed on ESPN2. Famed motorsports announcer Marty Reid will call the action and will be assisted by extreme motorsports veteran Tes Sewell. Former Miss USA Kimberly Pressler will be the roaming pit reporter.

“The television coverage of this series is phenomenal,” Kazarian said. “The track and our sponsors will gain exposure to millions of households not only in the USA, but around the world. To say I am excited about being a part of the series would be an understatement. I am ecstatic!”

The inaugural season of the Traxxas TORC The Off Road Championship Presented by Amsoil will consist of ten races in five states and will possibly return to The PAS on September 25th and 26th. Other stops on the tour include the previously mentioned race in Texas, a pair of races in Crandon, Wisconsin, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, two races in Bark River, Michigan, another to be determined race in Southern California and the season finale in Las Vegas, Nevada.
