POST FALLS, Idaho — Day long celebrations with the Idaho PROJECT FILTER car displayed at “CABELAS” wound down to race night, and lots of smiles on the locals kids who belong to the IDAHO DRUG FREE YOUTH student group in area schools.
Pre Race Memorials, and the display of Statelines giant 50 foot American Flag brought the kids into the infield, to act as the honor guard and lots of somber memories to our fans and great veterans in the grandstands.
A great exhibition race provided by a group of local Late Model 4 drivers along with the Pro Four car of Tyler Bailey, displaying the Project Filter paint scheme brought cheers from the crowd as Kameron McKeehan won the Heat/Main and Tyler the Trophy Dash.
The Stateline Street Stocks provided lots of close race action, at times with both grooves vying for the leading edge, however the main event saw Kip Elliott taking the checkers with past champs Randy Laswell and Ned Pennington following for the remaining podium spots.
The INSCA Winged Sprints provided the crowd pleasing thunder of the night as they ran a relatively problem free, edge of the seat main event bringing local driver Tony Berry to the winners dock followed by Kurt Myer, and Justin Popple.
The wild, wacky, unpredictable action of Wednesday Night Fever continues
every Wednesday at 6pm with the cars and superstars of the Road Runners,
Fever 4's, plus the wild and crazy Bump to Pass division. Adults are just
$5.75; kids under the age of nine accompanied by adults are free.
Saturday the NORTHWEST MODIFIED RACING SERIES takes to the track for the running of the GARY MILLER 100 along with Hobby Cars and Early Stocks. Events start a start at 6pm. General admission is $13 for adults; kids under six are free.
