IRWINDALE, California — High Point Racing announced a partnership with Ryan Reed Racing this weekend that will bring not only a new sponsor to High Point Racing, but a new sponsor to Toyota Speedway at Irwindale’s new S2 division.
Ryan Reed who has been running legend cars just finished his sophomore year in high school, yet he’s already got big career plans. The Bakersfield, CA native and son of former Southwest Tour driver, Mark Reed, has entered into a two-year agreement with High Point Racing.
The first year will find Reed piloting the #56 S2 car for 6 races. Reed started testing the car in April and is already turning some very impressive times and offering valuable feedback to making the new style car faster. His first race will be an 11th of July.
Reed will also spend some time testing his car for next season, the #56 HPR late model. Reed will contest for the 2010 season Auto Club Late Model championship.
Supporting him for both years, and on board currently with Ryan Reed Racing and their current legend car racing program, will be Langer’s Juice Company.
“With even Cup teams struggling to secure sponsorship in this economy, we’re really excited to not only get Ryan on board with our program but to have him introduce a new sponsor to the sport of NASCAR,” HPR team owner Tim Huddleston commented.
The sponsorship makes great business sense for the family-owned juice company who is based down the road in City of Industry. The driver sponsorship allows them an outside representative to help promote and brand their products, while the division sponsorship will allow additional branding as well as an outlet for corporate relations and promo contests. Langers was already at the track last week distributing over forty cases of juices and enhanced water products to the fans.
In their first night as an official sponsor of High Point Racing, Langers enjoyed a 5th place finish with Reed in the legend car and a victory with Huddleston in the Auto Club Late Model division.
