ACDelco Super Late Models Twin Race #1 & #2
Division points leader Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills held off the challenge of San Fernando’s Rip Michels and held on to win the first race of 40-lap NASCAR ACDelco Super Late Model twin bill Saturday night (June 6) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Joanides edged Michels at the finish line by 0.086 seconds to win his 5th Super Late Model feature race of the season. Michels finished second and Dan Moore of Burbank finished third. In the second race Joanides took the lead from Michels on lap 18 and went on to win the race with a winning margin of 2.379 seconds over second place finisher Alex Haase of Las Vegas, NV. Michels finished third in the race.
Jan’s Towing Bandoleros Twin Races #1 and #2
Rookie Ryan Cansdale of Laguna Beach won his 5th consecutive Jan’s Towing Bandoleros feature race Friday night (June 5) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Aaron Anderson of Lancaster finished second and Christian McGee finished third. In the second race which took place Saturday night (June 6) Christian McGee of LaVerne won the second race Jan’s Towing Bandoleros twin bill. Eight year old Lexi Moore of Burbank finished second and Blake Dunkleberge finished third.
Legends Cars Race
Division points leader Brandon Toy of Bakersfield took the lead on lap 31 from Ryan Reed, also of Bakersfield and went on to win the Legends Cars 35-lap feature race Saturday night (June 6) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. It was the second time Toy took the lead in the race as he hung on to beat Reed at the finish line by 0.413 second for his first ever feature race victory. Reed finished second in the race while Mark Iungerich of Granada Hills finished third.
King Taco Super Trucks Race
Rod Johnson Jr. of Canyon Country held off repeated challenges by division points leader Pat Mintey Jr. of Quartz Hill winning the King Taco Super Trucks 40-lap feature race Saturday night (June 6) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was Johnson’s second of the season finishing 0.768 seconds ahead of Mintey who finished in second place. Jeff Peterson of Riverside finished third.
Pick Your Part Outlaw Figure Race
Division points leader Steve Stewart of Long Beach won his second consecutive Pick Your Part Outlaw Figure 8 20-lap feature race Saturday night (June 6) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Stewart finished 0.271 seconds ahead of Rod Proctor of Riverside who finished in third place. Tony Curtis of Hawthorne finished third.
