ANTELOPE, California — Bill McAnally Racing’s Eric Holmes, pilot of the No. 20 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry and the team are looking forward to racing at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale July 4th. It’s a race track that the NAPA entry from BMR has dominated at with nine wins including the Inaugural NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown. It’s also a track in which Holmes has been the pole winner twice in the NASCAR Camping World Series West and twice in the NASCAR Elite Division, South West Tour but has yet to record a win competing in the West Series. (Holmes recorded a win at the Inaugural NASCAR All-Star Showdown in the NASCAR Elite Division portion). In the last five West Series visits for Holmes, he has finished second three times and third once. The team also looks to give Toyota their first manufacturers win at the speedway in the West Series.
Holmes and the No. 20 NAPA team are fired-up to record win number 10 for NAPA and Toyota at Toyota Speedway. The 2008 NCWS West Champion, Holmes and his long-time crew chief, Ty Joiner, look to turn his record on end and get the win that has eluded Holmes personally. Holmes remains the current point leader in the NASCAR Camping World Series West with a 16 point margin over Jason Bowles who has won the last two point events at Toyota Speedway.
The NASCAR Camping World Series West King Taco “200” will run on July 4th at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale and be televised July 16th on SPEED Channel’s Racing Across America noon pacific time. Please check your local listings.
