BAKERSFIELD, California — The Dominator” Brad Pounds drove his Scott Pounds Racing Harris IMCA to two wins this last weekend. The 24 year old Pounds won his first race of the weekend at Kings Speedway on Friday Night, where he quickly took the lead and never gave it up, weaving through traffic to take the win. Pounds scored his second win at Bakersfield Speedway on Saturday, where he moved up through the field and took the lead and never looked back. He also won the Spud Simkins Memorial Street Stock 100 Trophy Dash and started the 100 on the pole. Mechanical problems took him out of the race. Pounds has 116 career Wins. He has wins in each of these divisions: Hobby Stock, Street Stock, Late Model, and IMCA Modifieds. Last year he finished 3rd in the big IMCA Race in Las Vegas and 7th in The Boone Iowa IMCA Race. Brad Pounds started his racing career at Bakersfield Speedway at the age of 14 in the Hobby Stock Division. He won his first race in the division by his fourth race. He has won two championships in his career: The East-West Street Stock Series and The Winter IMCA Series. Scott Pounds Racing is owned by Scott Pounds the 1994 National IMCA Champion.
