Modesto Western Late Model driver Mike Beeler wins both of the dual Late Model events on Saturday night at the New Stockton “99” Speedway. This was Beeler’s
first late model main event win at “99”.
50 year old Beeler started third in the opening 50-lapper and held off points leader Justin Philpott, 19 for the victory. The field was inverted for the 49-lap second main event and Beeler started ninth. He made his way through the pack to pass 19-year-old Nic Belletto with eight laps remaining for the second win.
Beeler has had a very impressive year with only nine starts he has had 8 top ten’s, 7 top five’s and two wins. During qualifying on May 30th he broke the Late Model track record with a lap of 13.594. He also won a Heat Race earlier this year at “99”.
Beeler gives his BRE (Beebe Racing Enterprises) crew chief Robert Strmiska and the crew members credit and thanks them for the team success. He would also like to give a special thanks to Allen Beebe for all the support he has given over the past two years.
Thanks to our great sponsors Cool Hand Luke's (Turlock), The Pie Company, NAPA Auto Parts (Escalon), Joiner Motorsports, Paul Oil Company, David's Racing Products and Brad Peters Freight Train for the great engines.
