This past weekend, July 4th at Madera Speedway, Mike Mendenhall ran side by side and nose to tail with Jim pettit, M.K. Kanke and Auggie Vidovich for over 45 laps
Mike's racing effort is truly grass roots and his ability to run upfront with teams that are much better funded is a tribute to his team and his driving skills.
After a racing deal with Pettit (and I mean two guys going for the same real estate) he was happy as could be.... Why, Because he proved a point! Mike proved that guys like me and you can go out there and run with these guys on a smaller budget! Its a really hard life , but it can be done.
After watching the race on GOLIVE STREAM.TV I found myself totally relating to him and his effort. So I thought I would send this out to anyone that would listen.

I want to help mike raise enough money to make the next race at Irwindale.
