LIVINGSTON, California — Saturday August 29, Carlos Vieira Racing, Inc. will present the Race and Ride for Autism at Madera Speedway in Madera, Calif. The night of racing will be highlighted by a $2000 to win, 100 lap feature open to Late Models from all NASCAR-sanctioned tracks in California.
Races will also include American Limited Stock Cars, Mini Super Toyotas, Toyota Sedans, and Hornets. There will also be a motorcycle show during the day at the track.
CVR, Inc. is a car racing team from Livingston, CA. that has dedicated its 2009 racing season to help raise money for families living with Autism and has organized a fundraising campaign called “Race for Autism”
Carlos Vieira, owner and driver of CVR, Inc. hopes that this day will bring racers, bike riders/enthusiasts and race fans all together on this fun filled day to help support this very important cause.
Several special incentives are in place for drivers competing in the Late Model feature. If the race winner is from outside the top-five in Madera Speedway points, he or she will earn an extra $1000 bounty. The dash for cash will pay $300, and Mid Valley Iron will donate $50 to the Autism campaign for every Late Model that enters the event.
Teams are allowed to run based on NASCAR-sanctioned, California Late Model rules. All cars must run the feature on Hoosier tires.
Grandstands and Bike Registration open at 3 p.m. Main events will begin at 6:30 p.m. following a bike parade around the track. General admission will be $17.00 with student, military, junior, child and family pack discounts available.
