MACKENA BELL TO PARTICIPATE IN PRESTIGIOUS WOMEN IN THE WINNER'S CIRCLE EVENT

CARSON CITY, Nevada — Just returning home from the Coke Zero 400 in Daytona, Florida where she mentored a group of young racers about the many opportunities of the motorsports profession, nineteen-year old NASCAR Drive for Diversity driver, Mackena Bell will head East yet again for the 7th Annual Women in the Winner's Circle Awards Ceremony to be held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday, July 23rd.

Founded in 1994 by Lyn St. James, the Women in the Winner's Circle Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on worldwide activities and programs for driver development, advocacy, diversity and education, particularly for women who aspire to become race car drivers. The Foundation is dedicated to making a difference and reaching the point in time when "opportunity" and "diversity" are no longer concerns.

The Foundation's mission is to provide leadership, vision, resources and financial support to help create an environment of opportunity for women's growth in the automotive and competitive motorsports fields. The Foundation’s ability to support its programs depends on individuals, businesses, organizations, teams and series who make financial and other contributions which are tax deductible under the laws of the Internal Revenue Service.

A 2005 graduate of the Lyn St. James Driver Development Program, Bell will join other successful women race car drivers such as Janet Guthrie, Sarah Fisher and Melanie Troxel to celebrate the diversity and the successes of women in motorsports during the Centennial Anniversary of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

"When I met Lyn St. James in 2005 my race career was just taking off. There have been many times that I have been reminded of the lessons that she taught me and numerous times that her words of wisdom have paid off. She is a wonderful part of our sport and it will be my pleasure to be a part of such a prestigious event," Bell said.

Under contract with Position One Motorsports out of Baldwin Park, CA., she is currently ranked within the Top 10 at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. At the midway point of the NASCAR ACDelco Super Late Model season, she remains the only female in the average field of 24 cars and will return to the 1/2 mile this weekend for a Twin 40's event.
