LEXINGTON, Michigan — The ASA Late Model Series will once again return to Salem Speedway for the running of the Trials 200 on July 18, 2009.

“This really is one of the toughest tracks on the schedule, the high banks at Salem can be very difficult, you run almost as fast in corners as you do down the straight-aways” stated Series Owner Ron Varney.

A full field of cars including many local drivers is expected to take to this historic speedway and if last year is any indication this should be another great event.

“Get your tickets and show up early to get a good seat, we are expecting another big crowd and as always we will hold an autograph session for all the fans and give them an opportunity to meet all our drivers. This really is a showcase event for the ASA Late Model Series stated Series President Ron Varney.

“Salem was huge last year in regards to the point’s battle; a lap down car got tangled with the point’s leader and ended his day. It really changed the landscape of the point’s battle. Salem will once again be a track that everyone must survive if they what to win the championship” finished Varney.
