TACOMA, Washington — After their last outing ended a the string of top-5 finishes, Tommy Rasmussen and his HayWire Racing team look to this weekend’s “Super Stock 100” at Southsound Speedway to get things back on track.
After a nice string of top-5 finishes had the #92 Dad’s Garage / RPM Sales & Service / Dan’s Automotive / Ringers Gloves / Mauritsen Enterprises / HWR Engines Pontiac Grand Prix and driver Tommy Rasmussen rolling strong, the team found themselves with a car that would not cooperate and a driver who had his hands full holding on to what would eventually turn into a pair of top-10 finishes. Driver Tommy Rasmussen displayed great character and skill, keeping himself and his team in the hunt with a car that was off all night.
With repairs to some suspension parts, and some healthy changes to the chassis, the small family run team from Graham, Washington hopes that this coming race will get things rolling in the right direction again. With the strong outings over the previous races, one can only hope this is just a “mid season slump”. Rasmussen remains confident that his team will find the performance that escaped them the last time out.
Look for the #92 Dad’s Garage / RPM Sales & Service / Dan’s Automotive / Ringers Gloves / Mauritsen Enterprises / HWR Engines Pontiac Grand Prix and driver Tommy Rasmussen to begin rolling strong once again during this weekend’s “Super Stock 100” at Southsound Speedway, in Tenino, Washington.
