HARRAKA LOOKING FORWARD TO PORTLAND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY
Paulie Harraka racing at Sears Point Infineon Raceway in Sonoma

ANTELOPE, California — Drive for Diversity driver Paulie Harraka, pilot of the No. 12 NAPA AutoCare/Adaptive One Brakes Toyota Camry for Bill McAnally Racing will be heading north to race on his second road course event of the NASCAR Camping World Series West season. He will be racing to win the Bi-Mart Salute to the Troops “125” on July 19th at Portland International Raceway in Portland, Oregon. The series hasn’t raced at the 1.98-mile road course since 1986.

"After the awesome NAPA AutoCare Toyota Camry we had at Infineon, I am really looking forward to Portland International Raceway,"Paulie Harraka

Harraka had a great run going at Infineon Raceway, his first road course this season. He qualified the No. 12 NAPA AutoCare Toyota Camry in 12th. By Lap 38 of the 64-lap race, Harraka was overtaking the second place car driven by road course specialist Boris Said for position when he was spun by the fourth place car. Harraka stayed in the top-ten on the board until with five laps to go, he was caught up in a wreck giving him a 14th place finish.

"After the awesome NAPA AutoCare Toyota Camry we had at Infineon, I am really looking forward to Portland International Raceway,” said Harraka. “It is pretty neutral territory for everyone and I really believe we can pick up our first win there. Growing up in go-karts, I really love getting on the road courses, as it makes the driver work harder."

Harraka is fifth in the NASCAR Camping World Series West standings and only 8 points out of fourth. He is also a contender for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year Award. He was the Sunoco Rookie of the Race for the fourth time this season after a podium finish at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.

The NASCAR Camping World Series West Bi-Mart Salute to the Troops “125” will be televised July 30th on SPEED Channel’s Racing Across America noon pacific time. Please check your local listings. Advanced ticket purchase offer of a combined Saturday/Sunday ticket of $25 is available online at www.portlandnascar.com or at participating Portland metro area Bi-Mart locations. US Military personnel will be admitted free with military I.D.
