RINGERS GLOVES RACING

MOORPARK, California — Ringers' supporting drivers and teams faired well in the Rockies at the Mopar Mile-High Nationals at Bandimere Speedway on Sunday evening. Allen Johnson has quite the winning record at Bandimere as he picked up his second event win at this event in the past three years. A.J. defeated KB Racing's Jason Line to collect his second Wally of 2009.

On the way to his third win of the season, former Pro Stock Motorcycle racer Antron Brown had to overtake a couple young guns of Morgan Lucas and rookie contender Spencer Massey. Although it was his third win of the season, it was Brown's first win of the year from the No. 1 qualifying position in his Matco Tools, Mike Ashley Racing-owner dragster. Brown heads to Seattle with a 116-point lead over Larry Dixon.

After winning the 2008 Pro Stock Motorcycle championship without an event win, Eddie Krawiec has put that non-winning slump behind him as he scored his third win of the year. He defeated Vance & Hines teammate Andrew Hines, after Hines red-lit by .008 seconds.

Ringers' supporter Justin Lamb notched another win in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series sportsman division in the Super Stock category at Bandimere on Sunday.

The NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series continues onto the second race of the Western Swing this weekend with the NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceway in Kent, Wash.

Both the NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series visited Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill., for their respective races over the weekend.

In the Nationwide Series on Friday night, Justin Allgaier returned to his home state of Illinois to score his ninth top-10 finish of the year, in the 10th place. Allgaier retains the lead in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings. Ringers' supporter Brendan Gaughan finished 13th in the Dollar General 300 powered by Coca-Cola.

This weekend Allgaier will stay in his home state of Illinois at Gateway International Raceway in Madison for the Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers 250 on Saturday.

For the second Saturday in a row, the Sprint Cup Series had a scheduled night race under the lights, this time at Chicagoland for the LifeLock.com 400. The Penske Racing trio had a rough night, as the highest-finish of the evening came from Kurt Busch and his No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge in 17th; his teammates David Stremme and Sam Hornish Jr., finished 26th and 38th, respectively.

The Sprint Cup Series has the weekend off in preparation for the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard held on July 26 at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The Indy Racing League headed to the Streets of Toronto, with the Firestone Indy Lights cars competing on Saturday. It was an Andretti Green Racing/AFS Racing one-two finish, with the No. 27 Automatic Fire Sprinklers entry collecting his second win of the season; the team car of the No. 26 ARPRO entry finished second.

The teams of Andretti Green Racing took to the track on Sunday for the Honda Indy Toronto, promoted by Andretti Green Promotions. The No. 26 NYSE iShares Dallara brought home an eighth-place finish, with the No. 27 Formula Dream team in 12th and the No. 11 Team 7-Eleven entry having a disappointing finish in 17th.

The Traxxas TORC Series hit the halfway point of their season in Bark River, Mich., over the weekend. Scott Douglas took his AMSOIL/Kumho Ford F-150 to a podium-finish for the fourth time this year in Pro 4X4, while Scott Taylor piloted his No. 8 Skyjacker Suspensions/BFGoodrich Tires Ford F-150 to a fourth-place finish in Pro 2WD in Round 8.

That's the Minute for this week! I hope everyone enjoys the remainder of their week and has a fabulous weekend!
