Justice Brother Mini Stocks
Tyler Rogers of Riverside held off repeated challenges by his brother Jacob Rogers for the lead and hung on to win the Justice Brothers Mini Stock 35-lap feature race Saturday night (July 18) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was Rogers third of the season and his margin of victory over his brother by 0.26 of a second. Division points leader Daryl Scoggins of Sunland started eighth and finished third ending his four-race win streak.
Vista Paint Super Stocks
Larry Cerquettini of Redlands took the lead on lap 25 and went on to win the Vista Paint Super Stock 30-lap feature race Saturday night (July 18) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. Cerquettini is perfect on the season winning his seventh consecutive race of the season. Rick DeLong III of Santee finished second and Eric Sunness of Chatsworth finished third.
Classic Stocks
Ken Michaelian of Lawndale won the Classic Stocks 30-lap feature race Saturday night (July 18) at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale. The victory was Michaelian’s eighth of the season. Tommy Agosta of Chino finished second and Tommy Mason of Canyon Country finished third.
SRL SPEARS Southwest Tour - SPEARS Manufacturing 100
Troy Emish of Fremont took over the lead on the race re-start on lap 97 from series point leader M.K. Kanke who had led the majority of the race and went on to win the SRL SPEARS Southwest Tour 100-lap feature race at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. Kanke who was running away with the race appeared to have encountered a mechanical failure on the race re-start. Rookie Kevin Callahan of Bakersfield finished second and Greg Voigt of Goleta finished third. Going into the race, Kanke had won three of four races. The SRL SPEARS Southwest Tour returns to Irwindale on October 10.
