
NORTH HIGHLANDS, California — 2009 Drive for Diversity participant Phil Dugan of Boise, ID will take part in the Jeff Gordon Foundation “Gordon Celebrity Bowl” in Indianapolis, IN on Thursday evening.
Dugan, rookie driver of the #34 RTD Motorsports, Inc. Chevrolet in the NASCAR Camping World Series West, will be apart of more than 500 participants in this event.
The tournament is being held to raise money for Riley Hospital for Children and will begin at 4 p.m. in the afternoon. Many team owners and drivers in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series are expected to be in attendance, as the event coincidences with the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this Sunday.
“I cannot thank Michelle Langley (909 Group), Jill Picaut (NASCAR), or Dawn Harris (NASCAR) enough for this opportunity,” Dugan said. “I am excited to represent the Drive for Diversity program while raising money for a good cause.”
Phil currently ranks 13th in the NASCAR Camping World Series West standings with seven starts out of nine races held. He was the 2004 Meridian Speedway Late Model champion and is in his first season as a member of Drive for Diversity.
Dugan’s next race with RTD Motorsports is August 1st at the road course Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT.
