POSSIBLE $30,000 TO WIN SUPER LATE MODEL RACE

PAYOFF INFORMATION, Rules — and official entry forms have been released for "The Ultimate vs. The Pittsburgher." This mega-event will offer $30,000 possible to win for the UFo Super Late Models on September 17-18-19 at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway.

"The Ultimate vs. The Pittsburgher" features a unique, twin features format for 2009. Saturday night's grand finale will feature two Area 51-lap features that will pay $10,000 to each winner, plus a bonus of $10,000 is being offered to any pre-entered driver that can win both races. The first feature winner is guaranteed to start the second feature, so fans are guaranteed to witness the attempt to win $30,000.

The event will also feature two sets of qualifying heats on Friday night to determine the initial starting positions for each feature. All drivers are guaranteed a favorable heat race starting position in one set of heats, since the second set of heats will be aligned in the opposite order of the original starting order of the first set. One set of consolations will be determined by combined heat race finish, with consolation transfers going to both feature races. At least 48 separate, open qualifying positions will be available for the two feature races, allowing more drivers the opportunity to win prize money. "The Ultimate vs. the Pittsburgher" promises to be one of the most exciting major Super Late Model events ever presented.

UFo Super Late Model standard car rules will apply, with Spec Motor cars using option 2 rules. Option 2 spec rules require 2,250 minimum weight, 12" spoiler and no nose spillboard.

Semi-Lates, Cadets and UEMS E-mods will compete for $1,000 each. Semi-Lates and Cadets will compete under rules very similar to the rules used at the Challenger Raceway for their "Super Championships" at "The Ultimate" the past two seasons. Some weight and spoiler rules have been adjusted, as well as some minor rule changes in the Cadets from 2008 to accommodate changes at other tracks this season. Under these multi-weight rules, virtually every car in the area that competes in a similar class is legal to compete in the "Super Championships" at "The Ultimate vs. The Pittsburgher." The E-mod portion of the show will be sanctioned by UEMS and follow that series' rules.

The entry fee has been eliminated in 2009 for the Semi-Lates, Cadets and E-mods for this event, and these classes will require no pre-registration. However, teams that have not competed at PPMS in 2009 are encouraged to go to the track website to obtain regular track registration forms for pre-completion.

UFo Super Late Models will carry a $100 entry fee if the entry blank is postmarked by Wednesday, September 9. Entry blanks must be received by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15 in order to qualify for the $10,000 double feature bonus. Miley Motor Sports will also accept phone-in entries by credit card with a $5 processing fee. Phone-in entries must be received by 4:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9 in order to receive the discount, and by 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15 to receive the bonus eligibility. All drivers that compete in a consolation event are guaranteed $200.

PPMS's Factory Stock and Young Gun divisions will also participate in these events. Both classes will run their regular racing program on Friday Night, September 19.

Total payout for the UFo Super Late Models for the twin Area-51 lap "The Ultimate vs. The Pittsburgher" is (each race will pay ½ the listed amount) 1st - $20,000 2nd -$8,000 3rd -$5,000 4th -$4,000 5th -$3,000 6th -$2,400 7th -$2,200 8th -$2,000 9th -$1,800 10th -$1,700 11th -$1,600 12th -$1,500 13th -$1,400 14th -$1,350 15th -$1,300 16th -$1,250 17th -$1,200 18th -$1,150 19th -$1,100 20th -$1,050 21st -$1,000 22nd -$1,000 23rd -$1,000 24th -$1,000 25th-30th -$750. $10,000 bonus to any pre-entered driver that wins both races. $200 tow money for any car that races in a heat race and consolation.
