MECHANICSBURG, Pennsylvania — After three rain delays and several attempts to work the track back in, the finale of the Summer Nationals at the famed Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania fell to rain on Saturday night.
Over the half of the program was completed, as all four heat races as well as the B-Main were in the books and a double A-Feature will be run on Friday, October 2 when the World of Outlaws return to the historic half-mile for the National Open.
Cody Darrah opened the night by turning the fastest lap in time trials. Joey Saldana, Craig Dollansky, Steve Kinser and Fred Rahmer won heat races, while Chad Layton won the B-Main. Joey Saldana was slated to start on the pole for the Crane Cams Dash.
The World of Outlaws return to action on Sunday, July 26 at Lebanon Valley Speedway in New York.
