ANTELOPE, Ca — The No. 20 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota Camry team next heads to the western slopes of the Oquirrh Mountains to the town of Tooele, Utah. It’s the home of the Miller Motorsports Park which hosts many of the world’s most significant racing series including the NASCAR Camping Worlds Series West. The four-year old road course will host the Miller Motorsports Park “125” on Saturday August 1st. This will be the third visit for the NASCAR CWS West to the track.
Holmes looks to improve his finishing position over last season by winning the 41-lap race. Rocks are often kicked up onto the 3.048-mile road course as traffic winds thru corners dubbed “First Attitude, Second Attitude” and the third called the “Bad Attitude”. The driver from Bill McAnally Racing finished in sixteenth after succumbing to a flat tire late in the race after he hit those rocks.
“We’ll have a great No. 20 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota Camry for the road course,” said Holmes. “Ty Joiner (crew chief) and the boys back at the BMR shop are on it as far as setting up the road course car. Our qualifying results last year put us in third behind David Mayhew and Jason Bowles. They’re going to be tough competitors again this time. If it wasn’t for that flat tire, we definitely had a top three car.”
The No. 20 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota team would like to thank their race partner, NAPA AUTO PARTS for their continued support.
