BELL RINGS LOUD IN RMCS ACTION

POST FALLS, Idaho — Craig Bell of Kuna, Idaho and driver of the BodyBuilding.Com/Minegar Racing Chevrolet scored an impressive victory Saturday night in the NAPA Auto Care Centers Duel for the "200" at Stateline Stadium Speedway in Post Falls in CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series action. Bell bested fellow RMCS regulars Zan Sharp, John Dillon, John Newhouse, and Jeff Jefferson for the win.

Bell charged through the field from his tenth starting position to take the lead on lap 66 and held off a determined Zan Sharp who had won the previous evening in the first Duel. The victory was Bell's fourth career triumph.

INSSA regular Dave Garber led the second five followed by Jared Vorse, Jeff Fenton, Kameron McKeehan, and Jim Wulfenstein rounding out the top ten. Jonathon Gomez of Twin Falls, Idaho scored his second career Sharp Powder Coating Fast Time Award with a quick lap of 13.466 seconds around the tricky quarter-mile paved oval and started deep in the field with the customary full invert utilized in the RMCS. However, Gomez suffered mechanical issues on lap 45 resulting in a 15th place finish.

By virtue of his finish, Bell closed the gap in the point standings but still sits fourth just five points out of third. Dillon continues to lead the standings over Jefferson, with Newhouse maintaining the third position.

The top five finishers are locked into the Idaho "200" slated for Sunday.
