
Andrew Murray, 12 year old from Temecula, CA., took his Exclusive Energy, Napa Auto Parts USAC dirt car to finish on podium for the third time in three races. Starting from the middle of the field, he finishes second, giving him a great 2009 at Perris Auto Speedway. Casey Martinez who started on pole and stayed in front throughout the race was hard to catch. Young Murray, who started from the middle of the field once again patiently worked his way through the field, catching then second place Ferns with four to go.

"My car just wanted to push into the wall off turn 4, otherwise I could have got a run at Ferns earlier", said Murray after the race. Murray struggled to get around Ferns, but making the move on the final lap to give him second.
Murray has raced three times at PAS, with two second place finishes and one first. Each time he has never started closer to the front than the middle of the field. USAC inverts the fields for the main, relegating Murray to the back every time.
Murray wants to thank Sunrise Ford for getting the tow vehicle fixed in time to make the race. Without the help of Lloyd Mack from Sunrise Ford this podium may not have been possible
