NORTHWEST PRO4 NATIONALS TO FOLLOW IDAHO 200

BOISE, Idaho — Right on the heels of this year’s history making Idaho 200, where the biggest names in Super Late Model racing competed, comes the downsized version featuring the Northwest Pro4 Alliance for their prestigious third annual Northwest Pro4 Nationals held this weekend, August 8th at Stateline Stadium Speedway.

These fast and furious four-cylinder late models will converge on the Post Falls speed plant from five states, led by the top names in the sport like two-time Alliance Champion Kameron McKeehan, who placed 13th in the Idaho 200; defending race winner Eddie Secord from California; current Alliance points leader Rick Thompson; and Alliance regulars Matt Melby, Wayne Dillon, John Grosvenor, Utah’s Kurt Madsen, Bud Rumsey, Boise’s Ken Chandler, Steve Thompson, Jerry Koepping, Travis Allen, Terry Rennick and Tom Keehan.

The Pro4 car is a downsized version of the V-8 late model, which sports a maximum 2440cc engine that produces around 280 horsepower, on a 10-inch wide slick at 2200lbs, making it just about as fast as the Super Late Model on the quarter-mile ovals.

Other teams expected are John Jackson, who scored the last Pro4 win at the track, as well as local favorite Ron Rohde; Washington’s Craig Forney and Eric Kaas; and Meridian, Idaho’s Rob Powers. The Pyrotect Rookie of the Year chase will see Oregon’s Larry Badoux and Bill McAdams face-off with Shelby Minor-Ball and Steve Schovares to see who heads into Championship night with the edge for the title. Defending Alliance rookie of the year Cody Stewart will make his first start of the year along with Andy Campbell and Kuna, ID, driver Tyler Bailey.

The Alliance is expecting more than 30 cars for this event, and marketing director Bob Coply states, “We’re following in some big foot prints, but all of the Alliance teams feel we can give the Stateline Stadium Speedway fans one heck of a good show!” So for more top racing action, head back and get that same seat you had last week and hold on tight, as the Northwest Pro4 Alliance returns to Stateline Stadium Speedway.
