LIVINGSTON, California — CVR, Inc. is a car racing team from Livingston, CA. that has dedicated its 2009 racing season to help raise money for families living with Autism and has organized a fundraising campaign called “Race for Autism”. On August 29, 2009 at the Madera Speedway, Carlos Vieira Racing, Inc is presenting a day of car racing and a motorcycle show to raise money to help families living with Autism.
The main event will feature a 100-lap Western Late Model Nascar/Whelen All American Series Racing at its best. The bounty has been raised to $2000, with the total to win at $4,000. This increase is sponsored by Modesto Transmission. The bounty will be paid to any driver coming in to Madera who can win by beating all top 5 drivers, in point standings, from Madera Speedway.
Points Leader for Madera, #71 Kyle Gottula doesn’t think that any outside driver can come in and beat the top two drivers. “I honestly think that they’ll have a heck of a time contending with me or Ross”. Second in points #90 Ross Strmiska shares Kyle’s opinion. “I love the thought that anyone is considering that they can come to the Madera track and beat me or any of us top 5 drivers”. #77 Rick Thompson, #51 Carlos Vieira and #28 Trevor Schlundt round the top five point leaders at Madera Speedway.
