ANTELOPE, California — BMR driver Eric Holmes, pilot of the No. 20 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota Camry, visited Victory Lane at Colorado National Speedway in 2006 but that was in the NASCAR Southwest Tour. Holmes did get to Victory Lane in the NASCAR Camping World Series West in 2008. He looks to make a repeat as the NASCAR Camping World Series West races at CNS on August 15th in the Toyota/NAPA “150”.

Holmes and the NAPA team are looking for some déjà vu. In 2007, the NAPA Auto Parts car from Bill McAnally Racing started on the pole at CNS and set a new track qualifying time of 16.452. In 2008, Holmes the No. 20 team from BMR put the NAPA Toyota on the pole for second time. Holmes is currently second in the chase for the series 2009 championship. Interestingly, he was also running in second for the series championship when he came to CNS last year and he went on to win the 2008 championship title.
“Colorado is definitely one of my favorite tracks and a track that we have had a lot of success at,” said Holmes. “The track has two grooves and provides great racing. The NAPA team has prepared a great car and Ty Joiner, our crew chief loves going to Colorado. We got our first pole there together in 2004 and a second in 2008 so I think the No. 20 NAPA Toyota has a great shot at the pole.”
“I always look forward to coming here. It’s one of my favorite tracks. It’s a lot of fun. It’s a real racy track and they have great crowds. It makes it real entertaining.”
